Somehow things have been moved around from page to page and three separate cemeteries have been merged. All are owned by Trinity Church; two have similar names (Trinity Churchyard and Trinity Cemetery) but the cemeteries are miles apart and the distinction between them should be maintained. - Nunh-huh 01:25, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)

  • Yes, I agree. I have expanded on the location of the uptown cemetery. Hope this helps. Quill 23:54, 2 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • The last sentence in the second paragraph is confusing. It appears to reference the burial grounds in Upper Manhattan given the "Washington Heights" reference, but reading it with the rest of the text it seems to refer to the cemetery in lower Manhattan. This needs to be cleared up by someone who knows the situation better than I.--Robertknyc 05:00, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dates for Ralph Waldo Emerson are incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.51.168.113 (talk) 21:57, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's not Ralph Waldo Emerson, it's Ralph Waldo Ellison, a different person. The birth year given for him was still incorrect, so I fixed it. SilverCityChristmasIsland 22:00, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

William Alexander is listed for both Trinity Church and Trinity Church Cemetery & Mausoleum. The former listing includes "Lord Stirling", but the latter does not - yet from the descriptions of both it is clearly the same person. I don't know which one is correct (one would assume Trinity Church, though, based on who it is) but still, that would be an assumption. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.44.2.199 (talk) 15:04, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot find anywhere where to get information about who is buried where. I am looking for a Charles Zussman, buried there in this century. How can I do a lookup? I think this site should include that information. Sandyscheve (talk) 00:13, 6 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Chapel of the Intercession Chapel

[edit]

Wow, does the official title really use the term "Chapel" at both ends? Jim.henderson (talk) 17:26, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, I fixed the name. It was referred to as a chapel, now a church as well.--NortyNort (talk) 22:34, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Which St. Paul's?

[edit]

Which is it? Is the satellite burial-ground of Trinity Churh of Wall Street (which is Anglican) at St. Paul's CHAPEL (a satellite Chapel just a tiny bit north on Broadway, still further south than the Woolworth building)? Or is it St. Paul's LUTHERAN Church, 315 West 22nd Street. In the article's sentences the word "Chapel" combined with the fact that the name is linked to the article on Saint Paul's CHAPEL (also Anglican) a short way north from the original, on Broadway still south of the Woolworth Building, suggest the former, as one would expect. The caption in the right-hand bar listing the three non-contiguous burial-grounds of Trinity give the "St. Paul's" burial-ground as the LUTHERAN Church at 315 West 22nd Street. This is not adding up. Oldest?

[edit]

This is allegedly the oldest cemetery in New York State. Shouldn't that fact be mentioned in the article? https://www.rd.com/culture/oldest-cemetery-in-every-state/page/4/

Interactive Map is in Croatian

[edit]

I don’t know how to edit this, but the interactive map on the English article for Trinity Church Cemetary has all the locations in, I believe, Croatian. ArloTraeger (talk) 11:32, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
