British!?!
[edit]British!?! For heaven sakes! My Scottish-born grandmother would slap the face of anyone who called her "British". Carol Smillie is NOT British - she is SCOTTISH!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 142.106.21.181 (talk • contribs) 13:18, 28 October 2005.
I'm afraid that anyone from Scotland is British whether they like it or not. From a Scot, who's fairly ambivalent about the whole thing 81.179.173.146 14:49, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
That doesn't excuse the fact that whoever wrote this article in the first place incorrectly identified her as "British". Carol was born in Scotland, therefore her background should have been listed as "Scottish". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 19:56, 12 February 2007 (talk • contribs) 142.106.21.163.
- Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:32, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Mensa
[edit]Carol was never actually a member of Mensa, she was just listed on their website as having a high IQ. Unfortunately, the "reliable source" referenced has got it wrong, so I suppose under Wikipedia rules the untruth trumps the truth... but I thought I'd put the actual fact on the talk page for the benefit of anyone looking for it. -- 88.110.153.182 (talk) 10:05, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Headings
[edit]I don't think we need a heading for every TV show she's fronted. The article would look much better if all these bitesize sections were converted into one or two larger pieces. Paul Largo (talk) 15:41, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
