Prime Ministers of republics
[edit]What do we do about prime ministers of presidential (or semi-presidential) republics? These generally seem not to be listed, but obviously they are commonwealth prime ministers. john k (talk) 17:31, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'll be honest. I'm not entirely sure what the point of this article is. There, I said it. Surely, it's important to have a list of Commonwealth Heads of Government, but I'm not so sure there's anything special about Prime Ministers. Bastin 21:54, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- I think it has to do with Order of precedence issues. john k (talk) 01:10, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- If that's true, then are we even certain the order of precedence refers to members of the Commonwealth of Nations rather than the Commonwealth realms? -Rrius (talk) 11:05, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Not at all, although even non-realms are treated differently from normal states - High Commissioners instead of ambassadors, and such like. But, really, isn't any foreign head of government, Commonwealth or not, going to rank right after the British PM while visiting the UK? john k (talk) 14:28, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
