Popularity among Catholics

[edit]

To revive an old topic, I did a survey of real live Catholics on social media and found that Flannery O'Connor is quite popular amongst American Catholics. Anyone who attends a Catholic university will have been exposed to her in English lit. courses. She is more popular than Greene or Chesterton and neither of those two are as popular as Evelyn Waugh and Walker Percy. Now, when we're talking about popularity, we're talking about popularity within the subset of the population who read literary fiction. The type of Catholic who simps for Trump or whines on social media about the LGPT "agenda" isn't going to know who she is. Pascalulu88 (talk) 20:18, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Four five-year periods of career?

[edit]

I'm questioning the validity of the information contained within the Career section. This sounds like an individual's assessment, so I'm wondering whether it's the independent work of the Wikipedia poster or if it can be attributed to a reputable source. I've asked for a citation on the information. Ghost writer's cat (talk) 18:53, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
