[edit]Words beginning with D suitable for teaching children the alphabet? Seriously?2toise 03:32, 20 Oct 2003 (UTC)
- Sure, 2toise, and I'm glad you brought the subject up. Since letters are the building blocks of words, and children's first traditional entry to learning language, I think it is a creative and useful entry to Wikipedia's articles on the alphabet. And I would welcome your ideas for entries relating to the rest of the alphabet. Paul Klenk 03:37, 20 Oct 2003 (UTC)
- Um, children's first traditional entry to learning language is listening to their parents talk, not letters of the alphabet. Nohat
Delta-number combinations
[edit]Anyone know of something to do when making dis-ambiguation pages involving a Delta-number combination?? (See User:Georgia guy/Letter number combinations for the definition.)
I've been checking D6 and I can't find any other uses of D6 when studying Special:Allpages. I've been using D6 and D-6. Any way to find uses of D6 other than that?? Not all articles the dis-ambiguation pages of this kind link to can be found this way (e.g. Channel 4 is in C4 but it cannot be found by studying Special:Allpages/C4.) Egyptian D
[edit]That symbol isn't actually an Egyptian D. An Egyptian D is a hand. 97.127.34.184 (talk) 21:03, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Unit of time
[edit]D and d have plenty of other symbolic uses. Why not leave them all to D (disambiguation)? —Tamfang (talk) 00:57, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
mumbo-jumbo
[edit]“ | In a recent book published at TheBookEdition, L'alphabet latin, Thierry de Mortain explains that the half-moon shaped letter D was representing the moon, and hence the star of the fecundity for the Romans. | ” |
This sentence was out of place, at best. —Tamfang (talk) 22:27, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Depends on which grading system is being used... RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 00:10, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
