Wikibreak update
[edit]Due to a hard disk failure on my Windows box, no driver to run its modem on my Linux box, and a temporary budget squeeze, I'm still on wikibreak a month after thinking I would be gone a week. I've gathered several books to cite on topics such as NASCAR history (such as its Convertible and Midget divisions), Mario Andretti, some midget racing groups, a couple of boardgaming topics, and so forth. 205.247.102.130 (talk) 19:08, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- YES! That's the best news I've heard in a long time! I hope you got to take a sip of that wine for helping with the Alan Kulwicki GA.
- I'm working on improving the references on Kulwicki's article to get more reliable ones. I've also worked on improving Eddie Hill's article toward GA. Do you know much about drag racing? Royalbroil 03:12, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Cape Verdean American sportspeople
[edit]Hi,
An on-going discussion is taking place regarding sorting people with triple intersections of nationality, ethnicity and occupation. You took part in a discussion regarding German American sportspeople and I thought you might be interested in the current discussion, which can be found here.--Thomas.macmillan (talk) 20:19, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
You're back!
[edit]What a happy day - I see that you're back! What an AWESOME feeling! Even if it's short term...I'm glad to see that you're fine. I think you knew that I'm an admin. I'm an admin on Commons now too. I've worked a lot on articles ... now 5 Good Articles. I started with Mario Andretti, then Alan Kulwicki, Eddie Hill, and Tim Richmond. I helped keep A. J. Foyt IV at Good status to get the 5th. User:Ched Davis noticed my efforts on Richmond's article and joined WikiProject NASCAR. We are working together to getting List of Daytona 500 pole position winners to Featured List and we are close to nominating it. WikiProject NASCAR is a ghost town, like many WikiProjects are now. User:D-Day occasionally edits, but that's it. I'm ready to get my 100th DYK (including 10 nomination-only DYKs), and I'm rewriting David Pearson (on the 5x expansion clause under DYK) to get my 100th. I wanted my 100th DYK to be a high impact article. Royalbroil 03:24, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, Royalbroil. I was on wikibreak Feb-2008 through Aug-2009 for various reasons. As time permits I will try to find David Pearson material and stuff on hundreds of other racing topics.Barno (talk) 01:38, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, if you have time. Not a problem if you don't! Please don't add material to David Pearson's article - it will make it harder for me to exceed the 5x expansion rule. If you do end up helping, I'm working on the article at User:Royalbroil/Sandbox. Royalbroil 01:53, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
