don't you think that the better should be to write the definition in the original name?: "Patge Gregori" (Llull)
No. I believe this fits the standards for naming in the English-language Wikipedia. Similarly, and I think weirdly, Felipe II ends up being Phillip II of Spain, the various Catalan/Aragones kings Jaume each end up being a James, etc. Not a choice I'd have made for the monarchs, but in this case I think it's right. "Page" is self explanatory to an English-speaker, "Patge" is not. But the other should certainly forward to this... -- Jmabel 06:42, 20 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- The name of the kings and similar are translated, but the folklorists prefer to use the same name of the origin. For lots of folklorists is an heresy translate these name. For example, a folklorists will always use the names Hugin and Munin and no Thought and Memory, or Hathor and no the house of Horus or Banshee and no Spirit woman.
