Folklore??
[edit]Is there any evidence this character is from folklore? I have heard stories incorporating a Fairy Queen but all of them post-date Spenser's poem. -- Securiger 08:47, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Mediawiki bug
[edit]Regarding the 23:35, 25 July 2008 [1] edit, it looks like I replaced this article with the Blue Angels article text. However, this is not what I was trying to do; this is apparently part of a bug that was being discussed on the Wikipedia Village Pump (technical). A little bit more detail, a passage (in italics) copied from over there:
- Just to clarify that something very weird is happening, here is what happened: I attempted to add a handful of words to the 02:50, 13 July 2008 revision [2] to get the 23:35, 25 July 2008 revision [3]; if you look at the reported page byte sizes, 874 and 901, they back up that this is what happened (901 bytes is far, far smaller than the Blue Angels article). However, if you look at the diff [4] or the revision [5], it looks like I overwrote the Fairy Queen article with the Blue Angels article, which is not what I did!

Update: the bug was discussed at length over on the Village Pump and Administrators' Noticeboard, with users reporting numerous pages affected including Crystal Lake, Newton, Wikipedia:WikiProject Popular Culture, Pikachu, unidentified flying object, Hadiqa Kiyani, and Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award. The bug was filed as bug 14933. The bug has since been resolved, though the wrong edits caused by the bug are unrecoverable. —Lowellian (reply) 19:55, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
De-disambiguation proposal
[edit]I propose expanding this into a primary topic article on the folkloric (or popular media) archtype, with the remaining senses going to a "foo (disambiguaiton)" page. Any objections or other ideas? bd2412 T 14:30, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
