Does she really rate her own page? -- Zoe

probably not. Someone has put a raft of pages about the minor descendents of Napoleon, none of whom seem to have done anything noteworthy except have children and live in Surrey. There's the wikipedia is not paper argument, but there's also death to the stubs. hmmm... -- Tarquin 22:41 Sep 17, 2002 (UTC)
In addition to that there is Wikipedia is not a genealogical dictionary. I vote to delete this rubbish. --mav

  • Susan May Williams: wife of an obscure decendent of Napoleon, not famous. - SimonP 18:27, Apr 18, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Cribcage 20:43, 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • No, keep. Interesting as genealogical link between Napoleon and the US Attorney General. Pteron 04:22, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • Then should be combined with that page. On her own, she is not significant. Delete. Average Earthman 11:21, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Note about her in the pages of the people she is a link between, and delete. DJ Clayworth 14:11, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. That she is the wife of an obscure descendent of Napoleon is why she is notable, and that someone is writing about her today is proof she is famous. anthony (see warning)
  • Delete. If merely writing about someone was proof that they were famous, then we'd have to keep articles about everyone. Postdlf 6:15 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • No we wouldn't. We'd only have to keep articles which are verifiable and NPOV. anthony (see warning)
  • I'm surprising myself by voting to keep. I've also expanded a bit; I added a mention of her other son, Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte II, who also appears to be borderline notable (he was an officer in the armies of both the United States and France, and his letters have been preserved by the Maryland Historical Society. [1]) I also mentioned why her father is notable. Anyway, she's a borderline case, but for some reason I like having an actual article for this material. Isomorphic 09:00, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • Note - this page has more than doubled in size since being listed. With the additional material I strongly vote to keep. Isomorphic 07:24, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Unmerged

[edit]

I've unmerged this article as there are multiple mentions of Susan in reliable sources. Deb (talk) 16:13, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
