Good to meet a fellow scientist!
[edit]Heya hunter! It's always good to meet a fellow biologist. It's pretty funny, but there are actually several biologists here on wiki (it's funny because I haven't met many other kinds of scientists...). Cheers! – ClockworkSoul 00:14, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Calgary Wikipedia Meetup Reminder
[edit]The first Wikipedia Meetup in Calgary is this Monday, May 15, starting at 5pm(ish) at the Good Earth Café in Connaught (1502 - 11 Street SW; Just down from 17 Avenue on 11 Street). —GrantNeufeld 20:32, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Just A Note
[edit]Just wanted to let you know there is an "official" UofC userbox now, I made it this morning it is {{user UCalgary}}. Haha and I think scientists are better wikipedians since their articles don't cause as much media debate for inaccuracy! Thank god for minimally subjective subjects!! -- TristanJ Talk|Contributions
I could watch it for hours, too! --Riley 00:04, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
Allegations of sock puppetry on the Center for Science in the Public Interest page
[edit]Allegations of sock puppetry have been made against some of the accounts that have edited the Center for Science in the Public Interest page. I have instigated the wiki process for handling such allegations. See Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/David Justin. As someone who has contributed to the CSPI page, please add your views to the Comments section. You have up to 10 days to make comments on the allegation. Nunquam Dormio 18:45, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Calgary Wikipedia meetup
[edit]Just a reminder that the Calgary Wikipedia meetup is this Sunday, 2pm, at Haymarket Café (1101 Macleod Trail SE). —GrantNeufeld 03:27, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
With the municipal election coming up, I figured it would be good to have another local meet of Wikipedia contributors in Calgary. This would be a chance to chat about Wikipedia stuff in general, but also to discuss ways to cover the election on Wikipedia. I’m suggesting next week, at a location (TBD) in the downtown area. If you’re interested in participating, please vote on when you’d like to schedule the meet. Thanks. —GrantNeufeld 21:59, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
